Hello.
I am new using Altera FGPA. I have two problems that I can not resolve... 1) I am trying to install the Altera Software Installer 10.0.220.1, but it stops when is checking the internet connection. I choose "Download installation files from the internet" -> "No proxy". I am using my home internet connection by wifi, and I have not a proxy server. I use a typical ADSL router. All other software wich use internet is running well. I have installed Quartus II 10.0 sp1, but downloaded directly from the Altera download web section. Could someone explain to me what is going wrong? 2) I am trying to find the Reference design called "Hello MicroC/OSII" because I need to use a RTOS on my NEOS II design, but I can not find it. In the Altera web is said that: "This embedded software example is installed with the Nios II EDS in the <nios ii eds installation path>/examples/software directory and is available as a Nios II integrated development environment (IDE) project template" But in Quartus II 10.0 sp1, EDS, SOPC Builder, etc. are integrated, and there is not the examples folder... Know somenone how I could get this reference design? Thank you.Link Copied

Hello.
I have finally resolved both issues. 1) Altera says that the Altera Software Installer 10.0.220.1 has problems with some proxies: "Note that the Altera Installer supports only basic authentication-based proxies at this time. NTLM-based proxy servers (check with your system administrator) are not supported and may cause the Altera Installer to hang. If your proxy requires NTLM authentication, you can download and install the ACDS version 10.0 using the individual software file instead." 2) I have installed the 9.1sp2 version of ACDS, and I have found the examples. But I have not found the examples in 10.0 sp1 version yet.- Mark as New

I have installed EDS 10.0 and I have already found the examples.
The problem was that the main link into EDS web is not for EDS 10.0, it is for Quartus II. The link for EDS 10.0 is below, in the middle of other links, and I did not see it. For that reason, I suposed that EDS was included into Quartus II 10.0, but that is not true.
