At present the "system console" add-on exists to help debug Intel FPGA systems that contain a debug agent inside of them. The system console is helpful but has many limitations a lot of which has to do with its TCL nature.
It is possible to create a wrapper around the system console in Python and then execute the TCL commands inside it. However, this is only experimental and not a mature solution.
Does Intel consider it worthy to release full Python support for the "System Console" add-on whereby all actions done inside it can be done via a Python script or even a Python GUI?
Many people are already familiar with Python which is so much more powerful then TCL and much well known. If Intel can release a Python package that can be used to implement a complete system console communication through Python and have Intel backing it up to sort out any bugs or future features, it would be a great blessing for hardware engineers around the world using the Intel FPGA devices.

Hi,
Just to clarify, you would like to see Intel come up with something like this? https://community.intel.com/t5/Intel-Quartus-Prime-Software/Interacting-with-System-console-from-Python/td-p/202537
