Quartus II 32b on ubuntu 12.04 32b:Segment Violation on startup

I installed the Quartus II web edition 32b on a Ubuntu 12.04 32b, and each time I start up I get:

*** Fatal Error: Segment Violation at (nil)

Module: quartus

Quartus II 32-bit Version 13.1.1 Build 166 11/26/2013 SJ Web Edition

( I already did the upgrade to the 166 build )

Any suggestions ?
