After installing the software, the application opens fine. We then install any of the devices and the application comes up with a black screen so we cannot do anything.
Does anybody know how to resolve this?
- Did installation of devices happen successfully or black screen appeared during installation process?
- Can you open other application other than quartus? Try to check again to open quartus tool & then from "Tools" options "Install Devices".
- If issue occurs while opening quartus then reinstall the quartus tool.

Our engineer figured out how to get around the problem. It appears when Qpro opens that there are two windows opened. One is called Home and the other is called Quartus Prime. The Home page is the startup page and is completely black and never closes. We were able to go to the Windows pulldown menu and detach this window from the application and then minimize it. Now we can see the main window.
So, we have solved our own question.
Actually, I should clarify. We didn't "really" resolve our own question. We just figured a workaround that we can live with. Truthfully, the application should still be fixed or updated on the Intel side.
