Questions about using State Machine Wizard

Hi,

I'm toying around with the State Machine Wizard to see what it's capable of and if it's something I might want to use in the future, and I'm having some trouble. At the 'Transitions' screen, I don't quite understand what the valid entries are or how to use it. For instance, I was looking in Quartus II help for a list of valid transition entries and I found a section containing 'transition operations', but found nothing listed for a 'don't care' or unconditional transition (i.e. move from state 1 to state 2 regardless of the input values). Should there be, or am I missing something, or not looking in the right spot?

Also, is there a brief tutorial available on how to properly use the State Machine Wizard and the features of it?

I'm also wondering is the SM Wizard really used practically anywhere (i.e. in industry) or is it there more for completeness and rarely is used.
