Server rehosting new license file not matching current license file tools.

Our company decided to provide new on the cloud servers. As I try to migrate to new server, I added it to Intel database and generated new license file. Unfortunately, new license file is missing Quartus tools. Please refer to attachments.

Do you mean, you can generate the license, but the license you generated does not contains Quartus license?

The issue is new generated license is missing features/tools. If you refer to my posting with attachments on "11-21-2024 07:03 AM" and latest. Snapshots can compare the licenses and client results when running Quartus.

We are retiring current server, and I am trying to setup new server. New server info was added to Intel database. Then generated license. This license is missing features/tools.

1 - Engineering is using v17 and v23.

2 - Yes, I generated new license with new server information. It was attached in previous replies

Hi,

Further checking with the license team, these(latest license) are the only products included in Quartus now.

If you intend to use the features in the old license, you may continue to use the old license without upgrading quartus version.

Yes, Engineering needs to continue using features from old (current) licenses such as Nio, DDR and others. However, how do I resolve the using both licenses when current (old license) is hosted in a different Server that is about to be retired end of 2024 (next week). How can I combine them? The license must contain server information.

We must resolve this issue prior end of server service.

Hello, I am still waiting for a reply to my post on ‎12-19-2024 06:30 AM. Current server will be retired very soon. Corporate IT kindly extended my request to keep server one more week.

Apologize for the delay in response as I was getting some confirmation regarding this case.

Since the old server is going to expire, you can rehost the old license file to a new server.

Problem persists. 

New license. Only provides version 2025.10. Missing versions 2014.02, 2016.09, 2012.02.

Refer to document attached. Engineering must continue working with these tools/versions specially Nios II.

How can I get these versions added to new license?

1. New license file – New server 

2. Old license file – Old server (before rehost)

3. License file - rehost from old server to new server (after rehost)

I can't provide third request. I added the new server info in Intel® FPGA Self-Service Licensing Center. Then generated license. Haven't tried cut and paste features because these are linked to another server info. Is this correct?

Hi,

If you don’t have the license for no.3, how do you know that the problem still persists as you have not rehost the license successfully in the first place.

Why are not able to provide no.3? Do you rehost successfully? 

You need to have no.3 license file with the license file (LR-192762) change to 6045BD7F1054, in order to get what they need.

Additionally, you should not use cut and paste features, unless they are licenses file with the same server info - NIC ID.

Always go with regenerate license from the SSLC if not familiar with the license file.

I received instructions to follow another method of Rehosting servers and not use License Assistance.

I followed the steps to rehost computer, but the license system is not generating the correct license.

Please compare good (old) license with new generated license.

LR-216465 – New Generated License

LR-192762_License.dat – Current license in computer from rehosted computer.

Please reply ASAP.
