USB blaster on university network

Hi,

I have problem connecting USB blaster to university computer.

The programmer doesn't recognize the JTAG connection.

When I try to connect I get error 82, When I try to do what I saw other people on this forum recommended to do (installing older programmer, driver etc.) I still have the same problem.

I think the problem occur since the license here is floating and the network blocks the JTAG server.

Does anyone has any idea how to do it?

Error 82 means that the client was unable to connect to the server, or the server returned a response which was unexpected.

Both jtagconfig and server work without licences, so that isn't the issue.

If the network blocks or interferes with TCP port 1309 then that would cause this error. Please fix that first. You should be able to telnet to port 1309 - the server will send you one line of text and then switch into binary.

From your post I'm not sure of exactly your connectivity. You presumably have one machine where you are running jtagconfig, and another (maybe the same) machine which has the USB-Blaster attached and where you are running jtagserver.

Please explain:

1. Are you on windows or Linux?

2. Does running jtagconfig on the same machine the USB-Blaster is connected to work? If not then fixing this first is the best idea.

3. If you are running jtagconfig on a different machine then is port 1309 open?

Thanks

Make sure that it works on normal connection (JTAG) then test it on JTAG server.

Also make sure that the firewall is disabled
