Unable to Generate .sof File for Agilex 5 Device A5ED013BB32AE4S – License and Device Support Issue

I am encountering an issue while working with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition (version 25.1). I am targeting the Agilex™ 5 device A5ED013BB32AE4S for development as i am working with a terasic DE25 revision B board.

Despite successful compilation of my project, the .sof file is not generated. The Messages tab shows the following Critical Warning:

Critical Warning(18636): Compilation Report contains advance information. Specifications for device A5ED013BB32AE4S are subject to change. Contact Intel for information on availability. No programming file will be generated.

I have installed the Agilex 5 device enablement package. I then successfully registered the Quartus Agilex 5 enablement license (quartus_agilex5e), which is now correctly reflected in the License Setup. The license is valid until 18-Jun-2026. Quartus is running in Agilex 5E mode, but still shows the same warning after recompilation. The .sof file is never created in the output directory.

I would like to generate the .sof file to program the Agilex 5 target device (DE25). Could you please confirm whether there are any additional licenses or steps needed?

I would appreciate any guidance or resolution to allow me to proceed with development. Thank you in advance.

Hello George,

Good day.

This warning indicates the OPN device A5ED013BB32AE4S isn't available yet to test.

Kindly try with different OPN.
