Using External Trigger in State-Based Triggering with SignalTap

I am using two instances of SignalTap in two clock domains. I have the trigger of one instance connected to the trigger in of the second instance. Both instances use state-based triggering and segmented storage. I assumed the triggering instance would assert the external trigger (trigger_out) when the state flow executed the trigger action. There does not seem to be any method in the state-based flow language for specifying the external trigger input on the target instance so I assumed the trigger in, when configured and activated, would cause the trigger action in the second instance when the condition occurred. It does not.

Can anyone tell me how to trigger an instance of SignalTap from a second instance when using state-based trigger flow in the both instances?
