I have been using various Quartus versions for a few years now and they all loaded the projects .sof file in the programmer if I started the programmer. In Quartus 14.0 it doesn't. I can add the .sof file manually but the programmer "forgets" the .sof each time. I have been looking into the options and settings, but I haven't found a way to let the programmer remember.
Also, even if I save the programmer into a CDF file, the programmer starts with a new CDF file each time I open the programmer. If anyone could point me where to click, it would me much appriciated.Link Copied

Hi Pieter
I had the same problem and it is really annoying, since it also permanently ask to save the "new" cdf file. My mistake was to save my cdf file in a subfolder (output_files, seems to be the default location!?). I solved the problem by saving the cdf file in the same folder as the project file is. I totally forgot about this thread. Recently I got it working, but you'll have to build a project in the system builder. I find this a bit unwieldy so I normally don't use this, but when using that it works. I have not tried if it copies if I copy the projectsettings.
