modelsim license problems

Have downloaded Quartus 2 10.1.sp1 web editon and Modelsim-Altera starter edition (newest) for a school project, but get error when i try to run modelsim. "Unable to checkout a license. Make sure your environment variables are set correctly(?)........... 1. MGLS_LICENSE_FILE 2. LM_LICENSE_FILE"  

 

How do i fix this? 0:-)

I encountered the same error. Search this forum for the threads on this subject. My work-around was to turn off NativeLink and start ModelSim manually.
