Good evening
I'm working on my first VHDL assignment for a class. Last night I followed a class-provided walkthrough on how to write, compile, and test a program and send it to an altera chip to do something. (I'm using Quartus II per the class syllabus) It went great and I had a good time. I am working on another assignment tonight, and after writing the code, I go to compile it and I get the following error: I get a popup stating full compilation was canceled due to an error (1 error) and the only error I can find isError: Current module quartus_map ended unexpectedly
I assumed this was maybe my antivirus (avast) blocking it, as it had popped up with something around the same time but I didn't see what it was saying. I disabled my antivirus but no luck on compiling. I even tried the program from last night again, and no luck. Can anyone offer any suggestions on how I could remedy this? Thank you for your time.

IIRC there is an option to preview the report that Quartus would send to ALTERA if you would agree to give Feedback. This is a button on the failure message box. Maybe there is more shown under Details ...
