Good evening
I'm working on my first VHDL assignment for a class. Last night I followed a class-provided walkthrough on how to write, compile, and test a program and send it to an altera chip to do something. (I'm using Quartus II per the class syllabus) It went great and I had a good time. I am working on another assignment tonight, and after writing the code, I go to compile it and I get the following error:
I get a popup stating full compilation was canceled due to an error (1 error)
and the only error I can find is
Error: Current module quartus_map ended unexpectedly I assumed this was maybe my antivirus (avast) blocking it, as it had popped up with something around the same time but I didn't see what it was saying.
I disabled my antivirus but no luck on compiling. I even tried the program from last night again, and no luck.
Can anyone offer any suggestions on how I could remedy this? Thank you for your time.
