Hello
In the Quartus Prime Standard Platform Designer documentation, there is mention of a "Generic Component" IP you can use to generate a generic component of the .
I can not find this IP in Quartus Prime Standard edition Platform Designer. It is there however in Quartus Prime Pro edition Platform Designer.
Is this a feature that has been removed from the Standard edition, or that was only implemented in Pro edition? It is there in the documentation for Standard edition (I checked the doc for different version and they all mention the Generic Component).
Specifically I mean in the Platform Designer "IP Catalog", I can see under "Library", things such as "Basic Functions", "DSP", ... but there is simply no "Generic Component" in the Standard edition (but it's there in Pro edition).
Since I'm doing a design for a Stratix V device, I have to use the Standard edition (can't use the Pro edition for this project).
Regards,
Eric

Hi Eric,
FYI that generic component only available in Pro version.
You may use new component (component editor) in Standard version. It'll be the same.
Thanks,

Sheng

Thank you Sheng,
That's what I figured out. You are right, after verifying, the documentation that mentions it are for the Pro version.

Eric
