Good morning,
I'm new to Quartus and trying to make a project based on a circuit i found in William Kleitz's "Digital Electronics: A Practical Approach" 8th Edition. The circuit can be found in the shift registers chapter page 563 . I am using the DE1-soc board , Family:cyclone V ,Device: 5CSEMA5F31C6 with Quartus II 15.0 web edition with schematic design. My question is how to place the 74HCT14 , the resistor and the capacitor ? Any help will be much appreciatedLink Copied

You can only implement the inverter in the FPGA. The FPGA can't implement the passives.
Cheers, Alex
