Hi,
I implemented ring oscillators on my fpga . and now I want to test their frequency with the logic analyzer . I know the logic Analyzer is not supposed to do this kind of things, but made the ring oscillators very slow and on the other hand the logic analyzer's clock as fast as possible . so I'll be able to measure the ring oscillators frequency in a good accuracy . does anyone have any recommendations on how to do that ? how should I configure the logic analyzer so it can give me the frequency ( if possible) ? should I extract the samples to MATLAB and then calculate the frequency? I don't want to use simple scope because I want to have the opportunity to check multiple devices/ring oscillators very fast. Thanks....Link Copied

Why not build multiple frequencimeters ?
All you need is a single, fast clock, several resatable counters (one per ring oscillator) And one signal tap logic analyzer to read out the counters.- Mark as New
