Inquiry about Transferring DS-5 Node-Locked License

Hello,

I would like to transfer the DS-5 node-locked license from my old laptop to a new one. However, I have lost the account credentials (username and password) from the original purchase. Currently, I can only provide the host IDs and the license.lic file.

I would like to inquire if it is possible to transfer the license to the new laptop under these circumstances. If transferring is not possible, could you provide information on the cost of repurchasing the license?

Additionally, we are currently using the DS-5 Altera Edition.

Thank you.

Best regards,

Judy

I wish to follow up.

Do you need any more support for this?

Hello,

I have not resolved this issue yet. I asked about it in Customer Support, but they suggested that I go to the Intel Community and post my question in the relevant subforum. I am not quite sure how to proceed with solving this problem. I think I need to first confirm whether a Node-Locked license can be transferred to a new laptop before deciding whether I need to recover my account and password.

regards,

Judy

Hello Judy,

A stand-alone (node-locked, single-user) license is tied to the network interface card(NIC) ID of the computer on which you installed the software.

You can rehosting your license or regenerating it via the self-service portal.

Refer here, SSLC: https://licensing.intel.com/psg/s/sales-signup-evaluationlicenses
