Hello

Can anyone help about this software activation key ? How is this thing working ? I setup the OS and then i installa some kind of software from intel ?

I want to have raid 5 on an intel server that it does not support raid 5 by hardware.

Yes you can use on S5500WB to enable ESRT2 RAID 5 capability on on-board SATA ports, or on AXX4SASMOD.

Check section 2.2 of the board http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/s5500wb/sb/s5500wb_tps_r1_9.pdf TPS - there is a 3-pin connector [L] on the board. Just plug the key into the connector, and you have RAID 5 capability. The key looks like this:
