After upgraded to Windows 11 25H2, I couldno longer open the Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) application. It shows error code 0xA00906B3 at launch.
I was installed latest driver Intel Rapid Storage Technology is 20.2.6.1025.2 from Intel web but problem remains.
I have checked on the Intel download page with the following address.
I found in the Notes section that it says:
“Support for Microsoft Windows® 10 x64 and Microsoft Windows 11 x64* 24H2 SV2.”
I found out that the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver only supports Windows 11 24H2, and does not yet support Windows 11 25H2.
I want Intel to release a newer version of the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver that supports Windows 11 25H2 as soon as possible.

Hello Th14,
Thank you for sharing this with us, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. I understand how frustrating this can be, especially since Windows 11 25H2 is not yet compatible with the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) driver.
With that, please allow me some time to coordinate this internally so I can relay your feedback regarding the IRST driver compatibility issue to the appropriate team.
Regards,
John M.

Hello Th14,
Additionally, I highly advised you to revert back to Windows 11 version 24H2 while this concern is being coordinated with the team.
Thank you and have a great day.

Thank you John for escalating this. I have this problem also, as does everyone that got forced into 25H2 Windows.
We appreciate getting proper attention to an IRST update

Hi John M.,
As we all know, the central components in a computer are the CPU, RAM, and hard drive storage. They are coordinated by the operating system so that we can do things with the computer. Now, MS manufactures the operating system and Intel manufactures the hardware. How is it possible that MS develops updates that are not supported by Intel? Is there no coordination between MS and Intel in the further development of central components? I would like to offer my help here by pointing out emails, phone calls, or even letters that can be used today to coordinate with each other on behalf of their millions of customers. How is it possible that Intel is unable to quickly adapt its software to uncoordinated developments? How is it possible that MS distributes further updates and Intel simply stands by and watches as its hardware no longer works for customers? Does Intel have an answer to this?
Best

Hello John!
The January version Intel® Rapid Storage Technology Driver Installation Software with Intel® Optane™ Memory (12th to 15th Gen Platforms) released in January 2026 worked for Windows 11 25H2 until this month. I assume some new windows update between January and now broke it.
Another version is needed. Can you please contact the developers?
Thanks!
