Not passing FVM for Eagle Stream

Hi expert,

In our VRTT test for Eagle Stream, the Fast V mode 2nd droop voltage is lower than Vmin defined in the test plan. May I know what's the outcome/effect from CPU side with this not passing?

We do not have more places to add output caps. So we want to evaluate how this is crucial.

Though the 2nd droop is lower than spec, but it is still higher than Vtrip, which the CPU will survive. So want to understand the effect of the 2nd droop.

Thank you!

Best Regards,

Zach

Hello Zack9,

Thank you for contacting Intel Support.

We understand that in the Eagle Stream VRTT test the Fast V mode 2nd droop is going below Vmin but still staying above Vtrip, so the CPU does not fail.

Since adding more output capacitors is not feasible, you’re looking to understand the CPU-side impact and how critical this condition is.

Kindly confirm the system details and the processor model to further understand and assist you further.
