Hi, I need help.
I have installed Ubuntu server 20.04. My BIOS is 02.01.0013. The installation went smoothly. However, the system was unable to configure the network during the installation process. I started to configure manually. I used the netplan program. My internet configuration (pic. 6).
Did two variants of netplan. Dynamic and static. Both don't work. The most important. The console answers me: the cable is not connected. This is not true. I tested different cables. Ports. They work with other Windows devices. The important thing is that during the installation phase, the system could no longer configure the network. Need help. I found a description of a similar problem, but that was a long time ago. What could it be? Driver? The console showed the interface name: Intel Corporation Ethernet Connection X722 for 10GBASE-T (rev 09).

Hello Ex-Machine,
Thank you for joining the Intel community
The particular version of Ubuntu you have installed 20.04 does not show as tested/validated for this S2600WF board system. https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000024288/server-products/server-boards.html . It is highly possible the issue to be related a missing compatible driver. Ubuntu version 20.10 LTS does show up as supported though, so it could be worth to try if possible.
Hope it helps
Regards

I checked the supported Ubuntu - they don't see the connection. I started installing Red Hat 8.3 - it can't see the network either. Please tell me what can I do? Maybe some information about the interface to check? Could it be that less voltage is supplied to it than needed?

I solved the problem. This is a strange reaction of intel + ubuntu to a bundle of router + cables.

Can you recommend the ethernet interface settings. As I understand it, you can bypass the cable limitation if you lower the speed through the terminal.
upd.
My home Internet won't allow me to use the power of the network adapter. This will allow me not to lay new communications.

Hello Ex-Machine,
Unfortunately, since Ubuntu 20.04 is not one of the supported versions we cannot provide recommendations. We apologize for the inconvenience.
