RS25DB080 RAID Controller: FW in fault State

Hi,

Since a few days our server doesn't startup anymore. Suddently it stopped working and our RAID Controller RS24DB080 is giving the following error:

FW is in Fault State - MFI Register State 0xFFFFFFFF

FW has indicated system reset is required, System will reboot now.

After reboot server is hanging in the RAID BIOS. When shutdown the power, it starts again and seeing "Foreign Configuration". After continuiing with the config it gives the same error and reboots again.

Is the RAID Controller broken? We didn't do anything on the server. It stopped in the middel of the night.

Best regards,

Joost Lauwen

Hello Joost,

Are you able to access the Raid Bios Console?

If you are unable to access the Raid Bios Console, please consider opening a support ticket in case a warranty replacement is needed. You could open a case from http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/contact-support.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/contact-support.html

Best regards,
