Hello,
I have the following setup:
- Server type: Dell POWEREDGE R640;
- CPU: Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 6248 CPU @ 2.50GHz;
- OS: Ubuntu 22.04 with 5.15.0-1087-realtime kernel version;
CPU settings:
cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu2/cpufreq/cpuinfo_cur_freq
1601000
cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu2/cpufreq/cpuinfo_max_freq
1601000
cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu2/cpufreq/scaling_driver
acpi-cpufreq
(base) root@cg-node1:/etc# cat /proc/cmdline
BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-5.15.0-1087-realtime root=/dev/mapper/vgubuntu-root ro intel_iommu=on iommu=pt vfio_pci.enable_sriov=1 vfio_pci.disable_idle_d3=1 usbcore.autosuspend=-1 selinux=0 enforcing=0 nmi_watchdog=0 crashkernel=auto softlockup_panic=0 audit=0 cgroup_disable=memory mce=off hugepagesz=1G hugepages=60 hugepagesz=2M hugepages=0 default_hugepagesz=1G kthread_cpus=0,1,40,41 irqaffinity=0,1,40,41 quiet splash skew_tick=1 isolcpus=managed_irq,domain,2-39,42-79 intel_pstate=disable nosoftlockup tsc=nowatchdog skew_tick=1 vt.handoff=7
The current BIOS settings are attached as image.
I tried using following frequency settings without any luck:
cpupower frequency-set -g performance
The question is how can I lock the CPU frequency to 2.5GHz, on the isolated cores, when running the 5G RAN node using Intel FlexRAN?
Thanks!
