As Intel has not done official tests with the Adaptec* RAID 5405Z, in particular, on the Intel® Server Board http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/highlights/server/sb-s1200bt S1200BTL (see the list of tested hardware http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/CS-032418.htm here), it may or may not work as expected. We do comment both, Adaptec* 6445 and Adaptec* 6805, do show up among the list.
