problem installing w2k8r2 on s5500bcr raid 5

Unable to install w2k8r2 on s5500bc mb based server with 3 drive raid 5 .Upon hitting install ask for dvd/cd driver. Attempt to load driver from usb stick(win7-2k8r2-x64_v.13.13.1021.2009) and returns with "No devices could be found". Was able to install win2k8 32 bit with no problem. Any ideas?

Are you installing from a SATA DVD-ROM drive? Can you try a USB DVD-ROM drive?

I've also found that when using an external DVD drive the machine would read the disk when the drive within the machine would not read the disk.

The problem was solved using a more recent version of the w2k8r2 installation.
