Hi,
I am trying to install OneAPI beta on local server. System configuration as below:
Xeon 6130 x2
Mem: 24G RDIMM
OS: Linux S2600WFT 4.15.0-70-generic #79~16.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Tue Nov 12 14:01:10 UTC 2019 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
GCC: gcc (Ubuntu 5.4.0-6ubuntu1~16.04.12) 5.4.0 20160609
OpenCL driver: opencl_runtime_16.1.2_x64
Running the vectoradd example, compilation passed, but run the program yield the run time error message as below:
OpenCL API failed. OpenCL API returns: -2 (CL_DEVICE_NOT_AVAILABLE) -2 (CL_DEVICE_NOT_AVAILABLE)
it seemed it can not recognize CPU as OpenCL device, and i don't know which OpenCL driver I should install.
Please advise.

Hi Vincent,
How did you install OpenCL? You do not need to seperately install OpenCL, runtime is part of the oneAPI package. Could you paste your clinfo output here?

I did a fresh install on Ubuntu 16.04. then installed OneAPI package. It has CL_DEVICE_NOT_AVAILABLE error so I installed OpenCL runtime from https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/opencl-drivers , and it is still the same.

I use "source setvars.sh" for the environment.
Further, I used strace to check and it seemed the program couldn't find OpenCL library. is there any environment variables I have to set?

I got it running by re-installing the ubuntu 18.04. the compiler/runtime all working.
Please take sometime to check 16.04 to see if any package is missing.
