2025.1-PARDISO: Sig11 in numerical factorization

Hi,

unfortunately I do not have a MWE showing the problem: In some cases I see a segmentation fault in the 2025.1-PARDISO numerical factorization. It does not always crash. I do not see the problem with the 2024.2.1-PARDISO. The matrix type is complex unsymmetric. I know, the description is not specific enough...

Thanks,

Rainer

Hi, we have not heard from you for a while. Could you comment if the issue is still relevant to you are if you are going to send the matrix?

Regards,

Alex

I pressed "Accept as solution" on the wrong post...

From my point of view, the problem is solved since version 2026.0.

Thanks

... and another very small case where a crash is very unlikely (although it has just crashed)...

complex symmetric.

Hi,

We ran Pardiso with the provided matrices but so far didn't encounter the error.

I have an additional question: Was your machine's memory used only for this task, or was it also running other things at the same time?

Alex

Hi,

thanks for investigating the problem.

Yes, the attached small test cases crash with a probability of < 5%, whereas really big cases crash with a probability of > 80%.

Concerning your question, crashes occurred with and without other processes running.

Thanks

Rainer
