What are the advantages of going to the intel math kernel library intead of generating mathematical (parallelized) computations via a non intel board and an I7 overclocked (lets say 5.00Ghz)?

Hello,
It is not very clear on the question. Intel MKL software library is a highly optimized, extensively threaded math routines for applications for some BLAS, LAPACK, ScaLAPACK1, sparse solvers, FFT, and other functions. It works on Intel and compatible processors. It is not anyway to change the hardware, and software develop can improve their application performance by the call these optimized functions.
Thanks,
Chao
