The size of ia32 mkl_core.dll 11.0.5.1 is 10,166,168 bytes. (2013)
The size of ia32 mkl_core.dll 2020.0.0.1 is 23,073,664 bytes. (2020)
The increase for the 64 bit version is even more dramatic. What's the story on this? Why such a big increase?

Hello Brian,
In addition to the previous answer: if the size of DLLs is a problem you can have a look at the custom DLL builder, e.g. here: https://software.intel.com/en-us/mkl-windows-developer-guide-building-custom-dynamic-link-libraries.
Best,
Kirill

Ok, thanks. The page about customized DLL's could be very handy.
In the past, installing the intel fortran runtime on Windows required administrator rights. Is that still the case today? The download page does not specify.
