Hi,
I have been working with vPro for some time now. I have about 30 production computers connected.
The server is in the domain, AMT status is on provisioned completed.
Everything is functioning properly however I have one problem with CIRA.
My problem is:
When the computer is shut down via windows options, the CIRA status indicates not connected, but just restart endpoint from the vpro console and after a while CIRA jumps back to connected.
When I shut down the endpoint from vpro console CIRA remains connected.
Where can I look for the problem? Is it the power settings of the processor or maybe some network communication problem?

Hi Kacper17,
Greetings!
We see that the EMA is configured to the endpoints in the Client Control Mode, according to the logs shared. Hence, once the endpoint is turned off from the windows, the endpoint goes off and is unable to provide user consent or user permission, hence the CIRA goes off and says not connected.
Which is a normal behavior in the Client Control Mode, as it requires User permission or consent.
Best Regards

Hi Kacper17,
Greetings!
We see that when the computer is shut down via windows options, the CIRA status indicates not connected, but when you restart endpoint from the vpro console and after a while CIRA jumps back to connected.
Then when you shut down the endpoint from vpro console CIRA remains connected.
For us to Check upon the issue in detail, please share the ECT logs of the Endpoints under consideration.
Steps to collect the ECT logs :
Intel® EMA Configuration Tool (ECT):
Installation:
Download and unzip the tool.
Double-click the .msi file and follow the prompts.
Run:
a-Open a command prompt as administrator (alternatively, you can run the tool from Windows PowerShell*).
b-Navigate to the installation folder (default C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\EMAConfigTool).
c-Run the command: EMAConfigTool.exe --verbose

Ok, thanks for the clarification! It seems that I didn't know exactly how CIRA works.
Please tell me one more thing, if I deploy the certificate, the endpoint will be available at any time? Whether it is shut down by Windows or by the console?

Hi Kacper17,
Greetings!
1)The laptop needs to be touched and should be connected to the power, The NIC card should be kept active and on always.
2)Please find the article given below for the self certificate using creating a template, and to purchase the third party certificate if required:
How to Create a Self-Certificate Hash for Intel® Active Management Technology (Intel® AMT) Version 14 or Higher
Please refer to the Article id : 000059996
3)Yes, it would be available whether it is shutdown by windows or by the console, it also applies for CCM and client control mode, but would require the user consent.
Please feel free to reach out to us for any further query.
Best Regards
