Hi. I'm looking for a little help or an answer to a question before I do something I shouldn't do...
I opened the DX58SO motherboard box and saw a yellow piece of paper stating the board can only take 1.6V or lower of ram, I noticed my unopend Corsair Dominator (Corsair TR3X6G1600C8D Dominator 6 GB 3 x 2 GB PC3-12800 1600MHz 240-Pin DDR3 Core i7 Memory Kit) ram was 1.65V. I wanted to know if this setup will work fine or if I need to return it and get 1.60V Ram.
Thanks for the info,
Jess Disney

Hi Dizy,
Though tested memory list for DX58SO does not state any memory with more than 1.6V however there are 3rd party tested memories that work with DX58SO. I checked for you and there are a couple of Corsair memories that have been tested in accordance with 3rd party memory test. I must also mention that a 3rd party memory test occurs as requested by the memory vendors and is tested at an independent memory house that is not a part of Intel - Computer Memory Test Labs (CMTL).
Here are thehttp://www.cmtlabs.com/mbSearchResults.asp?sProcessor=&sSlotType=&sChipset=&sManuf=Intel&sMN=DX58SO&sSortField=&iPg=2&sDetails= 2 memory models from Corsair that work with DX58SO (TR3X6G1333C9, TR3X6G1600C9) one of which is 1.65V (http://docs.google.com/gview?a=v&q=cache:RYPd2fBhYYwJ:www.corsair.com/products/go.aspx%3Fpn%3DTR3X6G1600C9+TR3X6G1600C9,+corsair&hl=en&gl=pk&sig=AFQjCNHJeLo5V9vMakhpkI7l060P8EWslQ TR3X6G1600C9) and there is a possibility that your memory modules might also work with DX58SO ... BUT ... I always recommend our users to go according to THOL (Tested Hardware and Operating Systems List) because Intel does not take any responsibility for incompliance if the product is used not in accordance with the THOL. I would also not advise you to take my word for it and assume it as heads-up on this memory, rather I would suggest that if you have not opened the memory packings, you return it to your vendor and get a replacement in accordance with THOL or 3rd party tested memory modules.

I purchased OCZ Gold @ 1600Mhz and the board automatically downclocked it to 1066... Trying to find a way to override it...
