Different versions of AMT out there? KVM not available in 'standard'?

So I was excited to try out the AMT capability on my new Lenovo M81 with an i5-2400 processor. The desktop also has Intel HD graphics, so theoretically this would support the KVM availability.

Unfortunately in the BIOS settings for this machine, there is no KVM setting to be seen anywhere. This is confirmed by exporting the .XML file by running the SCS utility.

Is there a better version of AMT out there that can be purchased, or upgraded to?

Or does this just sort of intermittently vary by manufacturer?

Really sucks as this pretty important feature is not articulated upon by the OEMs with regards to specific models.
