Hi!
I have Q170 Intel chipset and was able to use remote control through AMT capabilities. It has been working for just a few months and then stopped. I got the message "Either the user name was not recognised, or the password was incorrect". I didn't forget password. I was able to use "incorrect" password to open AMT bios properties. I just turned off AMT in BIOS and turned it on again. Remote control function was returned back and I was able to use it during the next few months but I lost control and now I have the message about incorrect password again. I beleive I can use the same way to restore control as I've got permanent work. Can someone explain me what has happened and how to fix it? I've bios updated through the latest vendor software

Intel develops new Intel ME FW versions but they have to be validated by OEM with their BIOS FW and HW design.
That is why Intel website does not provide Intel ME FW updates other than for Intel products like Compute Stick or Intel NUC.
Once new ME FW validation is done by OEM -it is up to OEM to publish Intel ME FW update on OEM's support website.
for your system there is GIGABYTE Intel ME Critical FW Update Utility at https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Motherboard/GA-Q170M-D3H-rev-10# support-dl-utility GA-Q170M-D3H (rev. 1.0) | Motherboard - GIGABYTE U.S.A.
according to this package internal information it shall update your system ME FW to 11.8.50.3425 this ME FW version shall fix your AMT Digest account lockout issue + is fixing some other issues.
Please note -this is ME FW update only.
