HDMI Issue based on G41 chipset

I am using a Pioneer flatscreen monitor Win 7 out of HDMI 1900*1120. THe desktop is about 3-5% too large for the screen I have tried absolutely everything to resolve what is otherwise a minor problem. I have tried a straight VGA at 1024*768 of the same board and thats fine. Is there a fine adjustment I can make anywhere? How about going to Vista? I can't believed i've looked everwhere for advice and nothing - PLEASE help....
