Hello, a few years ago i completed a project to enable Intel AMT within sccm 2007 R2. Now we are about to migrate to sccm 2012.
Can some enlighted me if it is still valuable to go the Intel AMT route within sccm 2012?
also i have a few other questions
1. does sccm 2012 support auto provisionning of intel amt capable clients like it did in sccm 2007?
2. Are the same fonctionnalities retained in sccm 2012?
Any feedback is much appreciated
thanks
Stéphane

SCCM 2012 has all the same provisioning capabilities as SCCM 2007. SCCM2012 also works better with systems configured with Intel SCS.

I have the same issue. SCCM2012 R2 with CU3 installed.
Running SCCMAddon.exe gives error message:"Failed to Identify SCCM installation."
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi emilchik,
Do you have more than one primary site in your network infrastructure ?
Can you upload the log files (can be found next to the SCCMAddon.exe) ?
Can you please provide a screenshot of the following registry HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SMS\Components\SMS_SITE_COMPONENT_MANAGER\Component Servers
Also, I recommend you to enter a biz-support ticket for this issue to be reviewed by a customer support profesional , go to https://bizsupport.intel.com/ https://bizsupport.intel.com and enter your ticket, Intel employees are no longer tracking this forum on a regular basis

I did open biz-support ticket about the same day as I posted. Nobody contacted me about this incident since then.
I got Dell representative involved and they engaged Intel team to assist us. I did get Intel vPro SCCM console installed with their help. We had to change that registry value. I also had to upgrade SCCM environment to SP1 (I actually upgraded to current branch version 1602).

Hi emilchik,
Would you be able to provide me with some more details on your issue?
What the current layout of your ConfigMgr solution?
- Do you have more than one primary site?
- Is the host of the primary site the same as the host of the console
What version of the Intel SCS add-on are you trying to install?
Can you please attach the logs generated as part of your installation?
Thanks,
-Ariel
