Invalid UUID during provisioning

I have encountered several instances where vPro provisioning fails on HP dc7900/8000's. The error that I receive is:

Thread:3920(DETAIL) : ACU Configurator , Category: WMI_ConfigAMT Source: Src\WMIAccess.cpp : WMI_ConfigAMT Line: 1168: The supplied data is invalid. (0xc0001c2c) ((ExecMethod ConfigAMT) The defined UUID is invalid. The UUID must include 32 hexadecimal digits and must be in the format XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX. The UUID supplied was . )

I do see in the logs that the UUID value is blank. I was wondering what would cause this issue, and how can it be resolved?

Thanks,

Chris C.

Chris,

It should be problem with UUID, but would be good double check. Run the ACUConfig with these paramenters (run as administrator) :

c:\>ACUConfig.exe /Output console Status

And see if in fact the UUID is missing.

Best Regards!
