Mass Unprovision computers

I have DC7900 and 8000 Elites. For some reason SCCM is not able to provision them until a full unprovision takes place. I have over 1000 computers to do this to. Is there a tool I can remotely do this with? Keep in mind that these machines have never been provisioned before.

Thanks,

Ross

Ross,

What is the problem that you are facing for provision? send us the overall description of your environment and amtopmgr.log in order that we can figure out what is happening and avoid lot of headache forcing a Full Unprovision on 1000 machines.

Best Regards!

What you are seeing is not unusual. What happens is that AMT will "go to sleep" when it is left unprovisioned for a long period of time. The SCCM agent dosn't always wake it up successfully when it goes to provision the box. The activator tool will wake up AMT so that SCCM can provision it.

Here's the command line you can try from a command prompt:

Note: If you are using Vista or Win7, make sure you open the command prompt as Administrator.

activator.exe /s http://localhost/ http://localhost/ /c /h I recommend you try it on one or two systems manually. If it works, you can create a software package for this in SCCM and and advertise it to your clients before you attempt to provision them.
