Mysterious Web Requests from Lenovo M55 systems

I have a customer who has over a thousand Lenovo M55p vPro systems in their environment. The systems are repeatedly sending web requests to the following URL:

https://lenovo-vpro.oem.local

Does anyone have any idea why the system would be doing this, and better yet a way to stop it?

What system BIOS and AMT firmware versions are on the systems?

Have the vPro\AMT systems been provisioned already, or attempting to provision? If the later - have you tried entering the MEBx and fully unprovisioning the system to see if this clears any past settings?

Has Lenovo systems provided any input?
