I have an intel pro/1000 MT dual port nic that is set to use 802.3ad link aggregation. Its a procurve 2824 switch and I have the two ports trunked with lacp enabled. The switch also has stp disabled.
The team seams to be set correctly and the switch test with the pro13.5 drivers passes. The problem is the ports on the nic/switch aren't load balancing when I watch the throughput on the switch gui. They are failing over correctly just not sharing bandwidth.
Any help would be appreciated. I called intel tech support and they didnt seem to have an answer for me.

802.3ad link aggregation does not load balance between every packet. Packets must be received in order; therefore, individual conversations are sent on the same port. A good explanation is provided in the presentation, http://www.ieee802.org/3/hssg/public/apr07/frazier_01_0407.pdf IEEE 802.3ad Link Aggregation (LAG): what it is, and what it is not.
