Hi. Does the Intel i5-655k support Active Management Technology. It will be installed on a Gigabyte GA-Q57M-S2H motherboard. This board has a Q57 chipset and the manufacturer claims it supports AMT but i am not sure if it is dependant on the CPU that is installed. This is the motherboards page: http://www.gigabyte.com/fileupload/microsite/70/tech-090724-smb.htm. I think it should work but am not an expert. site for the CPU: http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=48750 ------Many thanks for any replies.

Hi Moab, yes the platform will support AMT, AMT is supported on all i7,i5 & i3 based CPU's. You can also download the verification tool "just to make sure" its called the AMT brand tool. here is a link /docs/DOC-2061 http://communities.intel.com/docs/DOC-2061 as long as you have the device drivers loaded thsi tool will read the detaisl of the ME/AMT - if the drivers dont load, confirm that AMT is enabled in the bios - it may be turned of by default.
