As today kvm only works when the host os (windows 11) is booted so no out of band.

Hello Stefan-Gee,

Thank you so much for contacting Intel customer support,

In this case, based on the configuration we see on your end, we have a few things to discuss. First of all, we can see that your endpoint (or at least the one in the picture you sent) is configured in client control mode, which means that whether you want to have access to it via KVM or not you will need for the system to boot into the OS so the person on the other side gives you permission to access their computer. If you use admin control mode, on the other hand, you will be able to remote yourself into the system without the user’s consent; however, you will need a validated certificate for EMA to allow this type of provisioning and it will still have some limitations, for example due to security measures you will only be able to connect to the endpoint if the same is connected to the power supply to avoid any possible issues with overheating among other things in case the endpoint is not in a safe place to be accessed, that won't change in any mode you decide to use.

Additionally, please bear in mind that Microsoft has a feature in their OS called modern standby, this feature allows the computer to go into a low-power mode in which the CPU and most of the other components are switched off, in this state the network adapter is kept operational but it doesn’t necessarily allow EMA to connect.
