panasonic toughpad fz-m1c vpro problem

Hi all i got the above toughpad which has vpro on wireless (i think) but while i enabled it and set up vpro the intel management center software which runs on windows says wireless network disabled while wifi works normally on windows and i k ow it supports vpro. the ip is in shared mode. has anyone setup vpro with wireless somehow or it needs the docking station for that?

I am glad to know you are using Intel® vPro products. 


Intel® AMT feature allows the remote access with wired and wireless connections on Intel® network cards only.


Do you mind giving more details about the intel management center software that you refer to? If you are trying to access the machine from the browser (Intel® AMT WebUI), you need to type: https://IP address:16993. 


For the configuration, we just need to access the MEBx BIOS and create a new password.


If further assistance is necessary, please run Intel® System Support Utility for Windows and send me the log.

Hi Miguel, i installed mesh commander locally (on the toughpad) and i set up a wireless profile using the mesh commander, now it works but ONLY when windows is running if i select as action to boot into bios (from another pc) it loses connectivity.

 

in a few words remote desktop and all works only when windows are on and is using the windows wireless profile, if i restart i cant see anything until it boots in windows (i cant boot into bios or anything by using kvm using mesh commander)

 

I have used many computers with AMT before but they all had wired lan and either i configured the ip in bios or it was shared ip with OS never used with wireless card before, and yes this windows pad has intel cards and everything AMT (processor motherboatd etc)

 

oh and also this doesnt work either when windows arent running but for example the toughpad is off or is in bios screen

it seems the wireless card can only connect to the network when windows are running and when not, it disconnects

Intel® AMT WebUI only allows the remote access to final computers when they are in Windows. Out of Band (OOB) connection is not possible. Intel® AMT WebUI is the basic software available.


Port 16992 has been removed; we need to use port 16993. Systems running Intel® AMT version 12 or higher only support https connections.


For business environments, Intel released the software Intel® Endpoint Management Assistant (EMA), it allows the OOB connections. Only systems with AMT version 11.8.79 or higher are supported. The client machine needs to run Windows Server 2019 or 2022, it is necessary to create a database with SQL 2017 or higher.

Hi there and thanks for your time,

 

I have used the webUI even when other pc's were off before and i powered them on using the webUI so i dont know why this isnt possible.

So there isnt a way to go into bios or mount remote storage when pc isnt running windows? whats the point then ? i have successfully done that with pc's running even older amt version such as 9.1 there must be some other way otherwise there is no point i could use anydesk only then.

The OOB connection is possible; however, a web application such as Intel® EMA or third-party software is necessary.
