Hi, I my search for a laptop for private, non-corporate use, I came across one that had with Intel vPro Management Disabled. What are the implications of Intel vPro Management Disabled? Specifically: 1. Will it be more secure? 2. Will it affect performance ? 3. Will it affect running virtual machines with VirtualBox? Thank you

Hi Donescamillo,

The Intel® vPro platform allows remote access to machines at the hardware level. There are no negative implications if you keep this technology off on your machine—it will not affect performance or the ability to enable virtual machines. However, the disadvantage is the lack of remote access to the machine.
