Can Intel® RealSense™ SDK Plug-In for Unreal Engine* 4 work for UE4.21?

Hey there,

In relation to https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-realsense-sdk-plug-in-for-unreal-engine-4, it states that support has been discontinued.

Will the existing SDK still work for the latest version 4.21 of Unreal Engine, please?

And is it ever likely to be supported again?

Thank you.

Kind regards,

Dominic

A new Unreal Engine 4 compatibility 'wrapper' was introduced for RealSense SDK 2.0 in October 2018. SDK 2.0 is compatible with the SR300 and 400 Series RealSense cameras. The earlier 2016 SDKs will not have their RealSense compatibility updated (I believe that it was a personal project of an Intel employee who no longer had time to work on it).

So you should use RealSense SDK 2.0 if possible in order to take advantage of Unreal Engine 4 compatibility.
