Intel DSA gives red "Sorry, something went wrong while trying to scan." banner on "Check For New Drivers" on brand new NUC10i7FNH purchased from intel.com.
No software installed on this system, it is out-of-the-box (other than Chrome as a second browser).
After initial boot and windows setup, let Windows Updates run and upgraded to 1909 build 10.0.18363.
Then, attempted to use pre-installed Intel DSA to check for new drivers. Microsoft Edge opened, and shortly after "Scanning your system..." the red banner "Sorry, something went wrong while trying to scan." appears.
* Attempted "Refresh Page" (try scanning your system again) - same error
* Uninstalled DSA, rebooted, reinstalled DSA (20.5.20.3) - same error
* Installed Chrome 83.0.4103.61, set as default browser, and ran "Check For New Drivers" - same "Sorry, something went wrong while trying to scan." result when https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html opened in Chrome
I once again uninstalled DSA, and this time cleared out C:\ProgramData\Intel\DSA and reinstalled.
On reinstall, I noted that even before running a check for new drivers, the C:\ProgramData\Intel\DSA\Service20200524.log reports an error that Intel.DSA.Service.Service, StartPersistentSession, PersistentSession.OnStart failed with a NullRef exception:
