Intel Euclid information

Hey I'm currently working on a project to automate a wheelchair for my university.

I came across the Intel Euclid and it sounds very interesting, however I would like to have more information about the Euclid.I found the roscon2016 presentation and video, but unfortunately not much else.Is there someone with more information? or what would be the best way to contact Intel about the Euclid?

I remember that there was a project in 2015 that used RealSense to move a wheelchair by using eye tracking and heat-maps.

There is no news yet on a release date for Euclid and it is not yet available on the Intel store for pre-order.

Thanks for the response Andres. Unfortunately MartyG could help me give more information about the Euclid it'self. I was wondering do you know what the proccessing is?

Seeing that I can't find much information about the Euclid I'm thinking of buying a zr300 camera. And for the data processing buying a Intel Joule 570x, up (squared) board or Nvidia Jetson tx2.

There's still no official public knowledge about the Euclid's processor, other than it's an Atom. However, Intel has a new version of Atom for IoT called the E3900 (based on the Goldmount CPU core), so it's reasonable to speculate that this may be a candidate for the Euclid's processor in the final release.

Given the absence of official confirmation, the consideration of alternate devices such as Joule for the processing aspect of the project makes sense though.

The wheelchair video was new for me.

We are planning to use a realsense camera for SLAM in ROS, but adding a second short range realsense for eye tracking could be a good add-on.
