Need UEFI .... how can I know when purchasing a laptop if it has a uefi bios or a legacy bios (without getting to touch it or see the system summary)?

We need to buy a laptop that is guaranteed to be utilizing a UEFI bios to work from home. The company software installation hangs on systems with a legacy bios and there doesn't appear to be a work around for legacy. Tech support is also too overwhelmed to respond. How can I know when ordering online whether a given build will have a UEFI bios or a legacy? Trying to help a friend.
