Every time I restart my computer with the realsense connected, it no longer detects that the realsense is connected, when it did before the restart. When I check settings, it says that there is a driver error, so I updated the driver but still got this error. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this issue?

Here are some further suggestions from an Intel support team member about the fail-after-restart problem. In this case too the camera is not detected after restart but reset successfully with a USB unplug-replug.

The link below has a D415 case with similar symptoms to yours (camera okay on first boot but not on restart).

Thanks for sharing this thread! I unfortunately still have an issue. When I went into Intel Visual BIOS 2.2.20, Advanced>Devices>USB had no option to change the xHCI mode (it only had portable device charging mode and usb legacy). Also, I am having this issue with firmware version 5.9.2.0 on the 415.

Does the camera start working if you unplug it from the USB port after the restart and then plug it back in, please?

Yes. That is, after the restart, if I unplug and replug the camera into the USB port it starts working again.
