This has nothing to do with Optane memory. You need to contact the manufacturer of your laptop and ask them about memory compatibility.

 

Also, your processor is not supported on Windows 10, if that is your OS.

I would add that, back when this processor was introduced, support was provided for only 4GB and smaller DIMM sizes. It is possible that the manufacturer added support for 8GB DIMMs - but that is a question only your laptop manufacturer will be able to answer.
