2. Is media sdk use intel quick sync for both audio and video ?
3. Is media sdk use gpu for video processing if yes then what is advantage of quick sync ?
4. what we can do with intel quick sync using media sdk I mean , encode , decode , mux-demux , vpp etc ?
5. Is there have audio acceleration ?
If above all have YES then please explain in brief or share any doc about this .

Hi,
1, Yes, MSDK including API for video and audio develop.
2, No, video use intel quick sync for HW accelerate, audio use CPU.
3. Yes, high performance.
4, MSDK only focus on decode, encode, and VPP, for mux-demux can use third-party like ffmpeg, gstreamer etc.
5. I think the answer is no.

Hi Jiandong ,
Thanks for give your input . Actually I am not talking about Intel media Server studio , i am talking about media sdk for Embedded linux . (https://software.intel.com/en-us/media-sdk/download)
I downloaded it from there : https://registrationcenter.intel.com/en/products/postregistration/?sn=C48T-DXX6NG63&EmailID=satinder.vsys%40gmail.com&Sequence=1720855&dnld=t
ok , According to you media sdk have support of audio as well . Is that have support for linux as well or not ?
If It have audio support for linux then how I can play both audio and video , Is there any sample available or not ?
Thanks & Regards,

Hi,
Yes, the support is for linux as well- just notice the treatment of video and audio are a bit different, you need to treat them as 2 separate streams - video can be treated by CPU or GPU according to your needs and audio will be CPU only.
Unfortunately there is no sample, however, there are documents guiding you exactly how to encode or decode the audio and what you would need:
https://software.intel.com/sites/default/files/managed/09/08/release_notes_audio.pdf
https://software.intel.com/sites/default/files/managed/13/52/audio-man.pdf
Please review these and let us know if there is anything else needed!

Stav
