Hello,
In a previous post ( https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/intel-media-sdk/topic/721038 ) there were some information provided regarding the Kaby Lake support provided by Intel Media Server Studio / Intel media SDK. The final information was that support is provided via VAAPI (I did not test it though, but will proceed with it).
Due to the fact that currently the Skylake CPUs are going the way of the dodo, what are the plans for supporting - officially - newer architectures (Coffee Lake and eventually Skylake)?
Also, IMO, if the Kaby Lake is supported via VAAPI, you should have a reference/update of the Linux install (Getting Started Guide) document. Any plans on this?
Thank you.
